“It’s Over”: New York Giants Fans Want Team To Start All Over Again After Major No Show Against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The New York Giants decided to turn the page as a franchise when they benched Daniel Jones after the bye week ahead of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers matchup. The Giants chose to start Tommy DeVito at quarterback.

Eventually, the Giants released Jones on Friday because of his demotion to third string. On Sunday afternoon, the Giants had a 23-0 deficit at halftime against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Tampa Bay made it 30-0 at one point in the second half.

It appears the Giants have quit on head coach Brian Daboll after the bye week. Some players question Daboll benching Jones for DeVito. Not only are there issues with Brian Daboll as head coach, but a lot of blame also falls on general manager Joe Schoen. Here is what the New York Giants fanbase said on Sunday afternoon during the game:

There is a lot of blame to go around for the New York Giants’ failures throughout the 2024 season. Many issues start with owner John Mara, but general manager Joe Schoen has not made good decisions through the draft or free agency either.

Face the Dallas Cowboys On Thanksgiving

On Thursday, the Dallas Cowboys will face the New York Giants on Thanksgiving. It could potentially be one of the ugliest games of the 2024 NFL season. If the Giants were to get embarrassed again, would Mara wait until the end of the season to fire Daboll and Schoen despite giving them both a vote of confidence for the 2025 season?

That remains to be seen. They could also be losing these games in order to tank for one of the top picks in the 2025 NFL Draft to land its next franchise quarterback after getting rid of Daniel Jones.
