The Miami Dolphins offense did not perform well in the 28-15 loss against the Pittsburgh Steelers on the road on Monday night. With the loss for Miami, they dropped to 6-8 on the season and Pittsburgh improved to 8-6.

The Dolphins are now eliminated from playoff contention. One of the reasons why Miami has had problems offensively this season is because of quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. He completed 22-of-28 passes for 253 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. The stats may look like he had a decent game, but the reality is that he didn’t look good at all and two of those touchdowns came in total garbage time in the fourth quarter when the game was already out of reach for them.
Miami Dolphins Fans Want the Team To Move On From QB Tua Tagovailoa This Offseason

Tagovailoa has been the Dolphins quarterback since 2020. He has not shown a lot of improvement in his six years as Miami’s starter. It might be time for them to make a change at the position for next season and beyond. This is what some Dolphins fans said on Twitter about wanting Tagovailoa replaced:
It’s hard to defend Tua anymore. His regression has been steep. It’s one thing to struggle. It happens. It’s another thing for a 6th year QB to look like a rookie.

Tua has to be replaced. His jello arm, inability to run, and inability to even understand throwing a ball away to stop the clock and prevent a sack is peewee league shit. Meanwhile, does McDaniel and Tua know a hurry-up offense, which should have been the strategy the entire 4Q?!

I would rather watch Dan Marino come out of retirement next season than watch Tua take another snap

Tua is so good that I think we should protect him, sit him and let Quinn play the rest of the year

With the Dolphins being eliminated from playoff contention, there are fans who probably would want to see head coach Mike McDaniel bench Tua for Quinn Ewers for the final three games of the season. Miami will next play against the Cincinnati Bengals (4-10 record). The odds of Tagovailoa being benched probably feel slim for now, but this team has to move on from him once the season comes to an end.
