The Ohio State Buckeyes have secured a massive win over the Indiana Hoosiers, whom many fans have called a “fraud” after the loss.
The Buckeyes have been a dominant team on offense this season and have one of the more talented defenses in the country. Indiana had not played anywhere near the same caliber of team until now, and unfortunately struggled in all aspects of the game. Ohio State was able to walk away with the 38-15 win that seemingly dropped the Hoosiers out of playoff contention.
Ohio State entered the game as 11-point favorites over the Hoosiers, and covered with ease against a struggling defense. The Hoosiers really struggled to withstand any sort of momentum the Buckeyes were gaining on offense and allow far too many big plays to occur. The Ohio State Buckeyes were also far too physical upfront, and continuously battered the Hoosiers defensive line.
While the win was big for the Buckeyes, it was also rather gritty as plenty of tension had been brewing between each side. The Ohio State Buckeyes are easily the toughest game on the Hoosiers schedule and one that Indiana fans acted as though would be a simple win. This mentality began after coach Curt Cignetti stated “Ohio State sucks” and felt that the team was simply another game on the schedule.
Buckeyes quarterback Will Howard took the offense to these statements in particular and was seen taunting Cignetti on the sideline after scoring. Howard was seen stomping out an imaginary cigarette towards coach Cignetti, who also goes by “The Cig” according to Hoosiers fans.

Following the game, Howard addressed his taunt and the tension between the two teams in front of the media directly after the game. The quarterback stated, “I have a lot of respect for what they do and what coach Cignetti has done over there, they have had a lot of turn around.” Howard also added, “but it’s different when you’ve gotta play the Buckeyes, man.”
Ohio State Buckeyes Tasked With Tough Final Regular Season Game Against Michigan Wolverines
While the Michigan Wolverines might not be having the best season, the Ohio State Buckeyes are still likely in for a very tough game.
No opposing team has exactly blown the Wolverines out, aside for the Texas Longhorns who arguably could have made the game much uglier. Michigan might not have a true, competitive quarterback currently but they have been a strong defensive team playing hard this year. The Wolverines have lost two games straight and currently need one more win to secure bowl eligibility.
