Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers signed a one-year deal with the team in the offseason, and this can very well be the final year of his NFL career. The Steelers are a team that is trying to win a Super Bowl, but some of the plan that they have is totally flawed.

Rodgers played for the New York Jets for the last two seasons. During the 2024 season, he completed 63.0% of his passes for 3,897 yards, 28 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. He will be the best quarterback that the Steelers have had over the last few seasons.

NFL Analyst Wonders How Pittsburgh Steelers Quarterback Aaron Rodgers Will Be In 2025

Ralph Vacchiano of Foxsports.com listed 20 different teams who could potentially be Super Bowl contenders this season. He thinks that the Steelers are in that conversation if things bounce right for them this season. Pittsburgh did finish with a 10-7 record last season. Vacchiano said about Rodgers and the Steelers,

“They went absolutely all-in on the 2025 season, but it all comes down to one thing: Can 41-year-old quarterback Aaron Rodgers stay healthy and turn back the clock a few years. It’s a lot to ask given how things went for him the past two seasons. But the Steelers think they saw enough from him in a lost 2024 season with the Jets to believe he’ll thrive in a better situation. They might be right, as long as his body doesn’t betray him.”

Pittsburgh has +1600 odds to win the Super Bowl this season according to FOX Sports. With that being said, the Steelers will be a competitive team. However, there ceiling this season most likely is a 9-8 record with an older Rodgers on the team. He will no doubt have chemistry with wide receiver D.K. Metcalf, but it will be interesting to see if the Steelers will be an average football team or not.
