Louisiana State Cops Drop Raw Footage in Kyren Lacy Crash Case

Last December, a fatal crash on Louisiana Highway 20 turned one former LSU standout’s life upside down in ways nobody could have predicted.

Newly released Louisiana State Police reports and videos have put the tragic crash involving former UL and LSU star Kyren Lacy back in the spotlight once again. The details are troubling. Questions about what really happened are coming to public attention again.

Surveillance footage shows Lacy’s Dodge Charger speeding past three cars and a fully loaded 18-wheeler in a no-passing zone on Louisiana Highway 20 last December.

The car brakes, swerves back into its lane, and then crashes. Another angle shows a gold pickup truck veering into a parking lot to avoid a collision.

One person died in the chain-reaction accident. Witnesses stayed behind to help, but Lacy’s car reportedly kept moving.

Body cam video from troopers shows multiple witnesses pointing directly at the green Charger as the cause.

Authorities reported Lacy called a Baton Rouge personal injury attorney just 10 minutes after the crash. He was arrested in January and tragically died by suicide in April.

The story took a twist last week when Lacy’s attorney Matt Ory released footage suggesting Lacy may not have been involved at the moment of the crash. The video raises questions about how witness statements were handled.

The case leaves more questions than answers about that fateful day among the football fans.

Football Fans Go Bonkers Over Louisiana State Police Handling Of Kyren Lacy Case

Once the contradicting video footage surfaced, fans reacted swiftly and furiously. One fan wrote, “It is a crime by the police.”

Another added, “No accountability. You’re still trying to push a false narrative. Where’s your dignity?”

A third fan noted, “Call it what it is a crime by the police. Despicable y’all are not men y’all are cowards the cop should be fired and charged as well as the lady and everyone who knew this was a lie. I hope everyone involved burn with the devil.”

The fourth fan observed, “You guys are still out here pretending the entire world hasn’t seen video that completely contradicts everything in this report, along with bodycam footage of your officer falsifying a witness statement.”

The overwhelming sentiment focused on alleged police misconduct in the investigation. Fans demanded accountability for the troopers who built a case against Lacy despite evidence suggesting he didn’t cause the fatal collision.

The tragedy took another devastating turn when Lacy took his own life months after his arrest, never getting the chance to clear his name with the newly discovered footage.
