The Cincinnati Bengals decided to give Trey Hendrickson a pay raise before the 2025 NFL season. After the season ends, he will become a free agent.
Hendrickson is 30 years old, and it is going to be interesting to see what his future is going to look like with the Bengals. Cincinnati has a 3-4 record so far this season and they could make some trades before the NFL trade deadline. There is a chance that Hendrickson could potentially be on the move.
NFL Insider Believes That the Cincinnati Bengals Could Potentially Trade Trey Hendrickson
Before the NFL season started, there were Hendrickson trade rumors going around because he did not report to training camp because of his contract dispute. Well, with his contract expiring at the end of the season, there is a chance that Cincinnati may want to trade him in case they can’t re-sign him. Dianna Russini of the Athletic said about the Bengals possibly trading Hendrickson,
- “Bengals All-Pro pass rusher Trey Hendrickson is drawing attention around the league, with the 49ers showing the most interest. Cincinnati isn’t shopping him, and after the Bengals’ Thursday night win, most do not expect him to get moved.”
In six games this season with Cincinnati, he has recorded 15 tackles, four sacks, one forced fumble, and pass deflection. Hendrickson has not had the same year as last year with the Bengals. Even with the possibility of not being traded, it could be a mistake for Cincinnati to hang onto him, especially if he leaves in free agency this offseason also.
