In this edition of the Injury Corner, we will discuss the fight between the Saints and Buccaneers Sunday morning, AKA Fight Night.
Thursday night, football mistook itself for WWE when Derwin James body slammed Travis Kelce into the ground after picking the 6-5, 260 pound man up like a ragdoll.
Saints vs Buccaneers
In light of sports confusion in week 2, football also mistook itself for hockey.

Pandemonium broke out after Tom Brady shared some words with Marshon Lattimore. Leonard Fournette had words, and Mike Evans had actions – running from the sidelines with the quickness with a WWE styled tackle.

Hands were thrown.

And suddenly 2 turned into… everyone?
In what felt like eternity, the refs were finally able to break the fight up.
Both Evans and Lattimore were ejected from the game. It was one step away from the Winnipeg Jets/Nashville Predator fight in 2015, when every single player got sent to the penalty box. Instead, Evans is suspended for one game. He is currently appealing this decision.

Trey Lance – 49ers vs Seahawks
Honarable mentions go to Trey Lance who broke his ankle in a season ending injury while playing against the Seahawks on Sunday. Trey gave Jimmy Garoppolo‘s career a second wind, as Jimmy G excelled against the Seahawks.
Lance was in good spirits after a succesful surgery on his ankle. He had two problems to fix – a fibular fracture and ligament disruption. He is ready for rehab, and the team physician believes he will be ready to play in the 2023 season. Shanahan echoed this sentiment.

Quick recovery and best wishes to Trey Lance!
Monday madness
The single most terrifying moment of week 2 happened during the Bills – Titans massacre Monday.
Fans saw Dane Jackson fold up in a U shape, in result of colliding with teammate Tremaine Edmunds.
An injury commercial break occured, and the sportscasters announced he was being placed in an ambulance. Where he was – for a while.
Reports slowly drifted in – he can move all of his extremities. He’s being taken to the hospital.
There is an update today that he has no significant damage to his spinal cord or neck.
What a relief! Best wishes to Dane Jackson.
Fans joined in too
Inspired by the chippiness of the week, fans didn’t want to be left out.
Kyler Murray was celebrating with fans after an overtime win, when a disgruntled Raiders fan appeared to hit or slap Murray. The Las Vegas police are investigating the potential assault.
Is this better or worse than Dallas Cowboys throwing trash while Dak Prescott left the field during week 1, due to a hand injury?

Hopefully week 3 will be a smidgen calmer.
