You have to have learned by now that no matter where you put the Titans or rank them in the NFL they generally will make their games interesting. If that’s a good or bad interesting guess it depends on Sunday. Matt Ryan is also a similar candidate for the surprise factor. A 300 yd performance with multiple touchdowns or a 3 int day. While Matt Ryan pushed for over 350 through the air his ability to control the drive/ football continues to be a struggle for him.
First Half Music
The Titans continue to surge in the first half like the kid that sprints to start the race and has a 4 second lead on the guy in 2nd but runs out of gas mid-race. That’s the best way to describe the Titans in the first half of the last 2 games every game including the game against the Bills was a 60-minute onslaught. According to https://www.foxsports.com/nfl/tennessee-titans-team the Titans have been outscored 60-7 in the second half this season.
Game on
Like they have done similar to their other 3 games the Titans got off to a fast start, Tannehill hit Robert Woods for a 7 yd TD pass to take the lead. It was Woods’s first touchdown of the Season but he hasn’t quite found the stride he’s capable of. Woods finished with 4 rec and just 30 yds on the day. No titans receiver was able to get 40 yds receiving as their core as a whole continues to struggle. A man who needed a big day himself was Derrick Henry who even though he hasn’t been horrific this season, hasn’t quite touched his king’s status, broke through this game rushing for 114 and scoring on a 19 yd TD run to give the Titans a 14-0 lead.

2nd QUARTER NOISE
the Titans and Colts both notched FGS on their opening 2nd quarter drives and the Titans were the First team to find the endzone yet again in the second quarter when Tannehill hit an unfamiliar name in Titans Tight End Chigoziem Okonkwo for another Titans td giving them a monstrous 24-3 Lead 7 minutes from the half

The Indianapolis Star
Mo Allie Cox who was the Colts player of the game had 2 Tds on the day for the Colts notching the Colt’s first-team touchdown just near the 2-minute warning cutting the lead to 24-10.

2nd half silence
Similar to the Titans 2022 story so far another weekly chapter sees the Titans who came out blazing for 30 minutes straight go library silent for the great of the game as the Titans were unable to put up any points in the 2nd half. The Colts were beginning to turn tides and whatever herb was included in any halftime snacks consumed by the Titans the team may be allergic to. The team began to fold giving up first downs poor pass coverage and anything a team could. Despite the inability to score the titans’ defense once again made key stops as this second half strongly resembled last week against the Raiders.
Turnover town for Ryan

Late 4th quarter the mishaps continued for Matt Ryan he fumbled with 4 minutes left which titans corner Kristian Fulton recovered. Teair Tart also intercepted Ryan earlier in the first half. Despite Ryan finished with 356 yds and 2 TDS alongside a fumble and int. His Titan counterpart was nearly perfect through the day with 137 yds and 2 TDS.

The Colts’ 9 lives were running out in the 2nd half to tie the game and at 2-minute warning kicker Chase McLaughlin missed a 51 yd FG and the Titans iced the clock out to win 24-17. https://gridironheroics.com/nfl-afc-south-preview-titans-vs-colts/
Final Takes
The story of the Titans continues for some reason they just can’t give the ball in the second half and the defensive luck for the opponent to have the same struggle can only last so long. The team needs to replicate the first half energy into the second half.
Getting Derrick Henry going has been crucial for the Titans and it looks like he’s finding himself more each week. He’s also become more involved in the receiving game which has worked out decent so far.
Their receiving core is a nightmare on elm street. Robert Woods had a decent game last week but the wideouts have been nearly invisible and ineffective. Rookie Treylon Burks has been sleeping in class. He left early and was Carted off with an apparent leg injury but it isn’t believed to be serious. From the other sideline
Matt Ryan will give Colts fans a rollercoaster of emotions every Sunday. If this team wants to rewrite any script it begins with him. Respect his legacy all you want in a world of what have you done for me lately Matt Ryans’ gridiron performance is a seesaw of struggle https://gridironheroics.com/can-colts-matt-ryan-lead-indianapolis-back-to-playoffs/
The Titans will head to the nations capital to take on the Commanders looking for their 3rd straight win heading into their bye week
The Colts will head to Denver to take on the Broncos on Thursday Night Football
