Indianapolis Colts’ kicker Spencer Shrader suffered a concerning knee injury during the second quarter of Week 5 after a defender collided with his right leg on an extra point attempt. He was helped off the field, initially taken to the blue medical tent, and later taken to the locker room for further examination. During Sunday’s postgame press conference, Shane Steichen provided a brief update on Shrader, stating that they didn’t have all the information yet, but the injury didn’t look good.
“It doesn’t look good, but I don’t have the full update,” head coach Shane Steichen said after the game, via the team’s website.
Indianapolis Colts have devastating news for the points leader

According to Pat McAfee, Spencer Shrader was believed to have suffered multiple torn ligaments in his right knee. Shane Steichen later confirmed that he sustained a season-ending ACL and MCL tear. Shrader had a great start to his second stint with the Colts, beating out incumbent Matt Gay and Maddux Trujillo and leading the league in field goals made and points through the first five games. He made 13 of 14 field goal attempts, with a long of 52 yards, and hit all 14 extra point attempts.
