The Indianapolis Colts have a new wide receiver

The Indianapolis Colts have a new wide receiver less than 24 hours after the New England Patriots waived him. The Colts are revamping their offense for 2023. They hired Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Shane Steichen to be their head coach. Now they have a new wide receiver before they hire an offensive coordinator.

According to Field Yates with ESPN, the Colts claimed wide receiver Kristian Wilkerson off of waivers.

Per GH Media Files, Wilkerson was waived Wednesday with two other Patriots players. He saw limited action with the Patriots since coming into the league in 2020:

“Wilkerson had played in four games total for the Patriots since 2020. The undrafted free agent caught four passes for 42 yards for his career in New England. Two of those passes were for touchdowns.”

Now the Colts will see if he can fit better into their system in 2023. The Colts have said they aim to upgrade their quarterback room for next seeason.
