“Has Cleared…”: Indianapolis Colts Have Massive News for All-Pro Addition

The Indianapolis Colts held a practice session on Thursday before flying out to Berlin, Germany, to prepare for Sunday’s international game. After landing, the team will conduct practice on Friday. The Colts will then face off against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 10 at Olympic Stadium at 3:30 p.m. German time, 9:30 a.m. Indiana time.

All eyes were on whether their newest addition would clear the protocol on time.

Sauce Gardner suffered a concussion in Week 7 as a member of the New York Jets. He was unable to clear the protocol the following week, causing him to sit out Week 8. Coming off a BYE, Gardner was a full go on Wednesday and Thursday, indicating he is one step closer to clearing the concussion protocol, since full participation is one of the final steps, along with clearance by an Independent Neurological Consultant.

Sauce Gardner will travel with the team to Berlin, an encouraging sign regarding his availability for Week 10. According to Mike Chappell of FOX59/CBS4 Sports, the two-time All-Pro has cleared the concussion protocol. As a result, Gardner is expected to play against the Atlanta Falcons, giving the Colts a huge boost in the secondary, especially with Charvarius Ward on injured reserve.
