When the Baltimore Ravens season ended, many fans were calling for the team to release tight end Mark Andrews and make tight end Isaiah Likely the number one tight end heading into the 2025 NFL season. However, Baltimore never released Andrews, and they decided to keep him around for another season for now.

However, Likely was carted off the field during practice on Tuesday. On Wednesday morning, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network gave an update about his injury and said,
“#Ravens standout TE Isaiah Likely will have surgery this week to fix a broken bone in his foot, sources say. The belief is he’s out about 6 weeks, though depending on the outcome it could be fewer. While Likely could be ready for Week 1, the best news is it’s not long-term.”
Baltimore will be on the road in Week 1 against the Buffalo Bills. It will be interesting to see if Likely will be back by then or not. He will no doubt be a huge part of the Ravens offense once he returns from injury.
Baltimore Ravens Fans React To Isaiah Likely Injury Update

Ravens fans were relieved when they found out that Likely will not be out for the long-term. Even though some Baltimore fans were ready to move on from Andrews, some will be ready to be confident in him at the early start of the season. This is what some Ravens fans said about the Likely injury on Twitter:
In Andrews we trust

Mark Andrews is stock up in fantasy, especially for the first few weeks. Even if Likely is back, I’d imagine he is eased in. Meanwhile, Ravens have some possible shoot-outs early in the season.

Tough break for Likely, but good news it’s short-term!

Maybe they’ll shorten his toes too so he doesn’t step on that pesky endzone barrier again too.

During the 2024 NFL season with Baltimore, he caught 42 passes for 477 yards receiving and six touchdowns, along with averaging 11.4 yards per reception. Likely was targeted 58 times. He will be entering the final year of his contract with the Ravens. Baltimore avoided a long-term injury with Likely as he will be one of the key pieces in the offense for quarterback Lamar Jackson.
