As the offseason comes to an end there is a new excitement in the air around the Dolphins training facility. With the new additions to the team, the expectations for this Miami team have reached a high that fans have not felt in a long time. With week 1 of training camp wrapping up, there were takeaways Miami fans should be excited to see.
TUA READY TO IMPRESS
The most talked about story this offseason for the Miami Dolphins has been whether or not Tua Tagovailoa could throw the deep ball to their new weapon Tyreek Hill. This offseason the Miami Dolphins released a video of Tua underthrowing a deep pass to Hill. A pass that had lots of critics doubting Tua’s ability. But from day 1 it was clear that this team believes in their quarterback, and he was sure to deliver. After a 50-yard throw to rookie Braylon Sanders, Cedrick Wilson praised his accuracy, ” He’s a pro. He’s accurate, always on point.” Then on Saturday, in front of a full house, Tua connected on a perfect 65-yard pass to Hill that has turns heads all around the NFL. It’s been a good start to for the young QB.
2021 DRAFT CLASS READY TO MAKE AN IMPACT
Jaylen Waddle has been impressive from the start of training camp, making impressive and flashy plays. On a ball that seemed to be overthrown by QB Teddy Bridgewater, Waddle was able to make the spectacular catch. Waddle will benefit from the addition of Hill and more single coverage. On the defense it’s edge rusher Jaelan Phillips and Jevon Holland that have made the biggest impact. Phillips has been part of several pressure plays and would be sacks. He has also shown the ability to break off blocks and stop the run. Safety Jevon Holland make the biggest impact in an already elite secondary. Holland already recorded an interception and seems to be involved in every play. His ability to be a play maker has been on display since day 1 and will be fun to watch as the season moves forward.
POSITIVE VIBES
When the doors open for fans and the crowd filled the seats, the Dolphins new superstar Tyreek Hill took the mic and hyped the crowd up. It’s clear that the expectations for the Miami Dolphins is win now and they believe they can do so. Fans erupted as the team made big play after big play. The new coaching staff and new additions this team has brought a high level of confidence and positivity to the organization. As coach Mike Mcdaniel would say ” Let me check your pulse if you’re not fired up.”
