Good news for DC Defenders fans, there are only two Defenders players officially ruled out with injury this week. There are however a couple of important Defenders players out for other reasons. It should also be noted, two players for the DC Defenders cannot play against the Las Vegas Vipers due to a suspension. Here is a look at the Defenders players out this week.

Important Defenders Players Out
Ethan Wolf
DC Defenders tight end Ethan Wolf will be out this week with a knee and ankle injury. Wolf is expected to miss two weeks with his sustained injuries. This is a tough blow, as Wolf has been a key player to the team this season as a receiver. The good news is that the Defenders expected Wolf to be out, and traded for tight end Alex Ellis from the Arlington Renegades. That is not to say Ellis will come in and make a big difference but demonstrates that the team was prepared for one of the important Defenders players being ruled out.
Ty Clary
Center Ty Clary has officially been ruled out this week against the Vipers. This should be okay, considering Clary was ruled out last week as well. There is a slight chance that fellow center, Mike Maietti can play, but the team may not want a center not 100% healthy. Last week, without Clary or Maietti, the Defenders only gave up two sacks, according to the XFL Website.

Francis Bernard
Linebacker Francis Bernard is not one of the Defenders players out with an injury this week, but due to being suspended for what happened last week against the St. Louis Battlehawks. Bernard will miss not only this week’s game but next week’s as well. It is a tough blow to lose players while fighting to stay undefeated for another week.
Gabe Wright
DC Defenders defensive end, Gabe Wright, is another player who will be missing the game against the Las Vegas Vipers. Wright is not injured but is suspended for one week. Luckily, the team will have him back in two weeks. This is tough when the team is getting healthy, yet still losing two players.

DC Players On Injury Report
Here is a quick list of the important Defenders players who are still listed on the injury report for the week four match-up.
Questionable – Mike Maietti (C)
Probable- Kentrell Brice (S), Anthoula Kelly (CB), Briley Moore (TE)
The DC Defenders will face the Vegas Vipers this Sunday at 7 pm Eastern.
