There is going to be a lot of media coverage on Texas Longhorns quarterback Arch Manning before the 2025 college football season begins and also during it as well. Manning has been sitting behind Quinn Ewers over the last two seasons.

With the Longhorns handing the keys to Manning, there is going to be a lot of high expectations entering the 2025 season. Texas has one of the most talented rosters in all of college football. Under head coach Steve Sarkisian, they have reached the college football playoffs semifinals the last two years. Can the Longhorns make it to the national title game with Manning leading the way?
Former New York Giants Eli Manning Talks About Texas Longhorns Quarterback Arch Manning On ESPN

On Tuesday morning, former New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning went onto the show Get Up on ESPN. Peter Schrager of ESPN interviewed Eli, and he talked about his nephew Arch. Eli’s nephew is Arch and he said about him,
“I’m just proud of Arch. … He’s just dialed into everything going on. He’s a sponge right now. … He’s worked his tail off. I’ve seen it.”
Cooper Manning did not play in the NFL, but Eli and Peyton Manning both did. Arch could be the next Manning to potentially get to the NFL. It is going to depend on how well he plays during the 2025 college football season with Texas. During the 2024 season with the Longhorns, Arch completed 67.8% of his passes for 939 yards, nine touchdowns, and two interceptions. He also had a couple of rushing touchdowns as well.
Manning is looking to accomplish that has not been done since 2005 at Texas, win a national title. Mack Brown was the head coach of that program and Vince Young was the starting quarterback then. Could a national title help Manning potentially be the number one overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft? It all remains to be seen how it plays out. There are going to be many times in 2025 where Eli, Peyton, and others could potentially be praising Arch for the way he plays, and he will also be in the Heisman Trophy conversation.
