Many NFL fans are wondering what the Cleveland Browns are going to do with all four quarterbacks competing for the starting job before the 2025 NFL season. Over the first couple of days of training camp, Kenny Pickett and rookie Dillon Gabriel has been getting reps with the first team.

Veteran Joe Flacco and rookie Shedeur Sanders are also competing for the starting job, but it feels as if Sanders may not be in the running to be the starter because he has yet to see first-team reps. General manager Andrew Berry and head coach Kevin Stefanski will have to decide what is the best interest of this franchise when it comes to the quarterback position. Is there a chance that the Browns will keep all four quarterbacks on the roster when the season comes or no?
Cleveland Browns General Manager Andrew Berry Believes All Four Quarterbacks Could Make the 53-Man Roster

Cleveland’s general manager spoke to the media on Thursday about the possibility of all four quarterbacks making the 2025 roster to begin the year. Berry thinks it could potentially be possible and said,
“We’ve largely looked at the last five spots of a roster as more developmental spots, and that could come from any position. I also think with the roster flexibility nowadays, especially with the elevations that you’re able to have on the practice squad, there’s just more flexibility in terms of how to build your 48-man game-day roster where it’s maybe not as quite as restrictive as in the past. …If there are four that are 53-man worthy and we think it makes the most sense for us to keep, then we will.”
It would feel like a major surprise if Cleveland decided to keep all four quarterbacks on the roster. Flacco has already played for the Browns in the past. It appears as if Pickett and Gabriel are in the driver’s seat to potentially be the Week 1 starting quarterback against the Cincinnati Bengals.
If the Browns are going to make roster cuts with the quarterback position, it is either going to be Flacco or rookie Sanders. It would feel like a major surprise if Pickett and Gabriel were either released or traded with the way things are going with Cleveland.
Stefanski has mentioned that he hopes to have a potential starting quarterback sooner rather than later. However, they may have to wait until Week 1 nears when they decide on a starting quarterback and who else to release and Deshaun Watson is already on the PUP list.
