The Athletic listed the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Michigan Wolverines as the top college football rivalry in the sport. It is not a surprise because of how much history and hatred there is for one another.

Michigan has won the last four matchups against Ohio State. Despite it, the Buckeyes won the national title in 2024, and the Wolverines won it all in 2023. There will be a lot on the line when these two teams meet again during the 2025 college football season. This Ohio State and Michigan rivalry is not going anywhere anytime soon. Buckeyes wide receiver Jeremiah Smith made some interesting comments about the rivalry this offseason.
Ohio State Buckeyes Wide Receiver Jeremiah Smith Makes Comments About the Michigan Wolverines Rivalry

The Buckeyes star wide receiver made some interesting comments about facing the Wolverines for the next couple of years in college football. Ohio State lost to Michigan 13-10 in the regular season before the Buckeyes decided to run over everyone in the college football playoffs. Smith said to The Athletic’s Manny Navaro last week,
“I’m not a sore loser, but I hate losing, and losing to that team up north was pretty crazy. In the end, I think it really helped us play the way we did in the playoffs. But I didn’t want to go to Ohio State and lose to that team up north. I just hate them. Just something about them. For the next two years, I promise you, I will not lose to them. I can’t lose to them in the next two years.”
Smith will be entering his sophomore season after having an amazing freshman season. During his freshman season, he caught 76 passes for 1,315 yards receiving and 15 touchdowns, along with averaging 17.3 yards per reception. Smith also rushed for 47 yards on six carries and one touchdown, along with averaging 7.8 yards per carry.
He is 6’3″ and weighs 215 lbs. This team’s star wide out could have a chance to eclipse 1,500 yards receiving during his sophomore season. There is a chance that the Ohio State stud could be the number one overall pick in the 2027 NFL Draft. Before he gets to the NFL though, Smith would love to beat Michigan both times and put an end to this four-game losing streak against the Wolverines.
