The Lions lost to the Washington Commanders in the NFC divisional round. Detroit is looking to win its division for the third straight season. However, head coach Dan Campbell lost offensive coordinator Ben Johnson and defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn in the offseason.
FOX Sports Analyst Makes Insanity Take On the Detroit Lions Entering the 2025 NFL Season
Jason McIntyre was the lead host on The Herd on FS1 on Monday. He made an insane take about the Lions entering the 2025 NFL season. McIntyre said,
“I have them missing the playoffs and I think the Super Bowl window is closed.”
This is an insane take. They are one of the Super Bowl favorites still and one of the favorites to win the NFC conference as well. Detroit will be the betting favorite to win the division for the third consecutive season. They still have core pieces around with Jared Goff, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Sam LaPorta, Aidan Hutchinson, and a solid offensive line. McIntyre is always making insane sports takes and this is not a surprise at all. This is a massive reach.

News flash…Lions had the hardest schedule in the NFL last season and went 15-2.
Also, Philly and TB both lost their OC’s this offseason and I haven’t heard a peep about their offenses taking big steps back
