There have been a lot of reactions about Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders speeding on I-71 North early Tuesday morning. He was going 101 mph in a 60-mph zone.

This news dropped on Wednesday afternoon and there have been many reactions about it on Thursday as well. Sanders is competing with Joe Flacco, Dillon Gabriel, and Kenny Pickett for the starting job. With Sanders being fourth on the Browns depth chart, is there a chance that this speeding incident is going to potentially haunt him or no?
Colin Cowherd Does Not Believe In Cleveland Browns Shedeur Sanders After Speeding Incident

Colin Cowherd of The Herd on FS1 spoke about the Sanders speeding incident on Thursday on his show with Jason McIntyre. Cowherd has been a big believer of Sanders winning the Browns starting quarterback job throughout OTAs and mandatory minicamp, until this speeding incident occurred. Cowherd has buyer’s remorse about Sanders and said,
“When you fall to 144 in the draft and then try to match that number behind the wheel of a car… yeah, I don’t think the same.”
He also mentioned in the segment that he thinks that head coach Kevin Stefanski and general manager Andrew Berry are not thrilled with Sanders speeding on the highway. Cowherd also believes that Sanders is on thin ice moving forward after speeding. It will be interesting to see if anything else transpires between now and training camp leading up until the 2025 NFL regular season.
Fans React

Where Colin was FINALLY right. SS is behaving like a wideout. QB is the most scrutinized position in ANY sport. Not even close. Fell in draft? Okay now he’s in the I’ll show them mode which means FILO with all things football along with being an impeccable citizen. NIL impact…

At the most important position in football, this isn’t allowed. Where he was drafted he knew he had to keep his nose clean and name out of the news. Didn’t last a month. Backup QB’s have been cut for less

@TheHerd this is a silly hot take considering Deshaun Watson is still on the roster

Where was the outrage about Zach Edey who was reported on literally yesterday going the exact same speed? They’re kids and they’re going to make boneheaded decisions

I’m not a Shedeur guy
But 100mph where? In a 75 that’s low congestion?
Or like a school zone. Probably has a vehicle that it would be a crime to go under 85 in if possible

This is not a surprise that there are mixed reactions from the Browns fanbase and other fans as well about Sanders speeding. There will be many more takes about his incident. However, any chance of Sanders getting first team reps after this may be gone now.
