The 6-3 Houston Texans host the 7-1 Detroit Lions at NRG Stadium on Sunday Night Football. For tonight’s game, the Texans offense hoped to have two of their top receivers available against the NFC North juggernauts, the Lions. Unfortunately, only one of the two wide receivers will suit up.
The Houston Texans solid slot receiver will play

Tank Dell popped up later in this week’s injury report with a back injury. Dell, who didn’t appear on the injury report until Friday, participated in Friday’s practice in a limited fashion, and the Texans listed him as questionable. The good news is their talented slot receiver will play.
Unfortunately, the same couldn’t be said of their WR1.
The Houston Texans ruled out their star WR

As previously discussed on Gridiron Heroics, Nico Collins (hamstring) was listed as a game-time decision, and they wouldn’t know until two hours or 90 minutes whether he would suit up for tonight’s game. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Texans have ruled Collins out. He will miss his fifth consecutive game.

C.J. Stroud will not have their WR1 and WR2 but will have their WR3 against the Detroit Lions

Tank Dell will once again serve as the WR1 and receive most of the targets, with Nico Collins and Stefon Diggs out. Robert Woods and John Metchie III’s role will also increase, as will tight end Dalton Schultz and running back Joe Mixon.
Good luck, C.J. Stroud.
