Former Patriots DB Asante Samuel has lashed out at former Patriot Tom Brady after he refused to support the Patriots to win the Super Bowl. Samuel has got support from other teammates as well.
Tom Brady had to choose between the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots ahead of Sunday’s Super Bowl on the Let’s Go! Podcast. Surprisingly, the former Patriot star refused to pick a favorite, possibly ignoring the side he won six Super Bowl rings with.
Asante Samuel Scold Tom Brady for Ignoring the Patriots’ Super Bowl

Commenting on the situation, Samuel, who was teammates with Brady, said he was “highly disappointed” with Brady, especially seeing he shared the same locker room with the current Patriots’ head coach, Mike Vrabel.
In his words, Samuel remarks, “Tom Brady 1 am highly I mean highly disappointed in you not rooting for your ex teammate, Mike Vrabel who is about to do something special… Brady you can’t be the only one winning super bowls.”

But Samuel, who played with the Patriots from ‘03 to ‘07, isn’t alone in his disapproval. Ex-NFL tight-end Rob Gronkowski, who caught more touchdown passes from Brady in his career than any other receiver, addresses the issue rather lightly. Gronkowski joked that he felt Brady still wished he was playing in the game, rather than watching it.
In his remarks, former defensive lineman Vincent Wilfork was sharp in rebuking Brady’s comments. Speaking on the Super Bowl LX Radio Row, Wilfork describes Brady’s restraint from making a pick as “bull crap.”
“At the end of the day, if you’re a Patriot for life, you know what it is. Don’t give me that political bull crap, that’s just what it is. If you don’t think we’re gonna win, just pick Seattle then. Don’t straddle the fence. If you’re a Patriot for life, you know what it is. Don’t gibe me that poltical bullcrap,” Wilfork said.
Clearly, Brady’s decision to refrain from making a Super Bowl pick hasn’t sat well with some of his old colleagues, and they weren’t scared to hand him their thoughts either.
