Jaxson Dart just pulled off the upset of the year. The New York Giants rookie quarterback led his team to a 34-17 demolition of the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday Night Football at MetLife Stadium.

The 22-year-old first-round pick from Ole Miss threw for 195 yards with a passing and rushing touchdown while running back Cam Skattebo punched in three scores. But it’s what happened on the goal line that got everyone talking.

Skattebo dove toward the end zone in the third quarter with defenders swarming. Bodies piled up at the goal line. The referee ran in with his arm raised, signaling no touchdown.

That’s when Dart jumped up and slapped the ref’s hand like they’d just won a playoff game.

The clip, posted on social media, shows the Ole Miss product celebrating what he thought was a goal-line stand. Players waited for the review. The replay showed Skattebo actually crossed the line. The call flipped to a touchdown.

Dart’s energy was on full display during the October 9 matchup. The Giants improved to 2-4, handing the Eagles a 3-2 record.

Coach Brian Daboll praised his young quarterback, calling him “the guy” moving forward. The strong showing came just a week after Dart struggled against the Saints.

The moment captured Dart’s personality in his best NFL outing yet. He completed 17 of 25 passes while leading the Giants to their most complete win of the season.

The funny moment didn’t go unnoticed by fans, who quickly shared their own reactions and takes online.

Jaxson Dart’s Moves Have NFL Fans Losing It During New York Giants Win

Social media went wild after the high-five clip hit timelines. One fan wrote, “Bro is having way too much fun being an NFL Quarterback lol.” Another added, “He is already better than Jalen Hurts.”

Not everyone loved the energy. A third fan pointed out, “Lucky he didn’t take it the wrong way.” The interaction could’ve gone sideways if the official felt disrespected.

Some fans brought up the league’s incoming quarterback class. A fourth observer noted, “I’m just keeping a count of all the ‘cool’ ‘funny’ shit this dude does, because when Shedeur gets out there…”

Dart’s 17-for-25 performance delivered on the confidence surrounding him. The Giants offense looked far sharper than the unit that struggled against New Orleans the week before.

With Skattebo pounding the Eagles defense for three touchdowns, New York’s running game finally found its rhythm. Dart managed the offense efficiently while showing the personality that made him a first-round pick.

The Giants will need both the production and the swagger if they hope to climb out of their early-season hole.
