The Washington Commanders have a lot of hope for the future because of quarterback Jayden Daniels. He was a rookie in the 2024 season and won the offensive rookie of the year award.

Daniels exceeded expectations and led Washington to the NFC Championship Game before losing to NFC East rivals the Philadelphia Eagles. He was the second overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft from the LSU Tigers. Some view him as one of the top seven quarterbacks in the NFL already despite only playing one season. Where does he rank amongst the Top 100 players in the NFL entering the 2025 NFL season?
Washington Commanders Quarterback Jayden Daniels Ranked Number 33 on CBS Sports Top 100 NFL Players List Entering 2025 NFL Season

Pete Prisco of CBS Sports ranked his Top 100 players in the NFL entering the 2025 NFL season. He decided to rank the Commanders star quarterback on this list. Daniels is ranked number 33. This is an interesting spot for him to be on, and he has a chance to climb the ladder sooner rather than later. Prisco said,
“Daniels showed as a rookie that he has star potential and should be a top-level quarterback for a long time. It’s scary to think how good he can be once he learns how to really play the position.”
It will be interesting to see if Daniels will hit a sophomore slump. If not, then that will be good for the Commanders and him. During the 2024 season, he completed 69.0% of his passes for 3,568 yards, 25 touchdowns, and nine interceptions. He also rushed for 891 yards on 148 carries and six touchdowns, along with averaging 6.0 yards per carry.
He is only 24 years old. Daniels could be the best quarterback in the NFC by the end of the 2025 NFL season. It will depend on how he and Washington progresses as well.
