“Have You Not Watched the Browns?”: Cleveland Browns Fans Erupt Over Sports Writer’s Tweet During Election Night

The Cleveland Browns are 2-7 this season in the NFL. The NFL Trade Deadline passed on Tuesday and they traded away Za’Darius Smith to the Detroit Lions.  Cleveland also got back a 2026 seventh-round pick and Detroit got back a 2025 fifth-round pick and a 2026 sixth-round pick. This has been a lost season for the Browns after going 11-6 a season ago and making the postseason.

A lot has gone wrong because of the poor quarterback play by Deshaun Watson who also had a season-ending injury. Jameis Winston has started the last two games for the Cleveland Browns at quarterback.

Ben Axelrod Who Covers the Cleveland Browns Writes Interesting Question On Election Night

During Election Night, Donald Trump won the state of Ohio en route to getting over 270 electoral college votes in the 2024 Presidential Election. His Vice President J.D. Vance, is from the state of Ohio. On Tuesday night, Ben Axelrod, who is an NFL analyst who covers the Cleveland Browns asked this question on Twitter:

“When you consider our recent voting trends, I have no idea how Ohio has weed and gambling.”

This is a very interesting Tweet by him. The Cleveland Browns fanbase and other fans also responded to this Tweet.

It is not a surprise that a lot of Browns fans want to smoke weed and gamble on sports games because of how bad they have been this season. The Cleveland Browns are on a bye this week so there will be no need for them to smoke weed if they lose, but they will probably still bet on other NFL games this upcoming weekend anyway.
