Kansas City Chiefs K Harrison Butker released a statement

Butker had a busy week in the spotlight after tennis star Serena Williams took a jab at him during the ESPY Awards this week. Williams said he didn’t have a place in watching women’s sports after his commencement speech, which suggested women would be happier raising children than trying to accomplish feats in the workplace.
In a message contrasting to the commencement speech, Butker released a statement on Friday calling for unity. He released another message on X following the shooting at Trump’s rally.
Butker posted a message on X for the first time since last October.
“Pray for our country,” he wrote.
Pray for our country 🙏🏼

Because prayers have always worked. News flash, they don’t. Everyone always offers up thoughts and prayers but not actually action. So yeah I guess prayers for the country because that will make it all better
