The 2025 NFL preseason will kickoff, as it always does, with the Hall of Fame Game in Canton, Ohio. This year, the game will feature two playoff teams from the 2024 campaign.
Wednesday, the league announced that the Detroit Lions and Los Angeles Chargers will square off at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium on July 31.

The matchup is a compelling one, featuring the Lions who are a season removed from reaching the NFC Championship Game against the Chargers, led by second-year head coach Jim Harbaugh and quarterback Justin Herbert, who are hoping to break through and mount a legitimate challenge to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC West.
Combined, the Lions and Chargers boast 37 Hall of Famers.
When the 2025 Hall of Fame class is enshrined, four days later on August 3, it will feature Chargers tight end Antonio Gates.
