It was a rainy first half in Green Bay yesterday, but that didn’t appear to affect the play on the field for the Green Bay Packers. They took an early 14-0 lead over the Arizona Cardinals and rode to a 34-13 win in a game that was never that close. Arizona came into this game beating the San Francisco 49ers on the road last week and was coming into this game with a ton of confidence. Jordan Love was great throwing for 258 yards and four touchdowns. He did throw an interception, but Bo Melton slipped. Here are three takeaways from this game.
Jordan Love Bounced Back When he Needed to

Jordan Love likely isn’t 100%, which gave him a pass going into this game because of his stats. At the same time, you could see the Green Bay Packers quarterback was pushing the ball down the field a little too much. You like to see that, but it’s also okay to take the check down periodically when it’s there.
Yesterday was the Jordan Love we saw in the second half of last season and a reason why he is one of the better quarterbacks in the NFL. He was smart with the ball and took the chances when it was there without pushing it. He di throw and interception, but that was on Bo Melton who slipped while running his route. It was an all around solid showing for Love.
All Eyes Were on Romeo Doubs and he Delivered

The Romeo Doubs situation and how he would play in this game was one of the talking points. Doubs delivered with three catches for 49 yards and two touchdowns.
You can believe what you want to about this situation, but it was encouraging to see Doubs out there and to see his teammates embrace him throughout the game. Regardless what it is, Doubs and the Green Bay Packers will have to move past it and move forward. He is a key piece to this football team.
The Green Bay Packers are Finding Their Footing

This was not an easy game for the Green Bay Packers and a game they could have easily lost. This was an Arizona team that wa coming off a comeback win against one of the best teams in the NFL on the road. It is an explosive offense led by the best running quarterback in the game not named Lamar Jackson.
Green Bay didn’t really let the Cardinals in this game at all. It was 14-0 after the first play of the second quarter. After the Love interception, it could have been 24-14 at half, but the defense only allowed a field goal. That was a key part of the game.
When the Packers are playing like this, they are really hard to beat. The defense has put together back to back solid showings. On the other hand, the offense is slowly getting back into rhythm as well. This team will be tested by the Houston Texans next week, who are 4-1.
