The Green Bay Packers are on the road this week, set to take on the Tennessee Titans in their Week Three matchup. Green Bay is currently 1-1 following their 16-10 win over the Indianapolis Colts in what was the second-hottest game in Lambeau Field history.
Of course, the Packers were able to accomplish the victory without starting quarterback Jordan Love, who sprained his MCL in Week One against the Philadelphia Eagles in Sao Paolo, Brazil. Backup quarterback Malik Willis played in his place against the Colts, completing 12 of 14 passes for 122 yards, a touchdown (the first of his career), no interceptions, and a 126.8 passer rating.
Green Bay Packers Quarterback Jordan Love Almost Played Against the Indianapolis Colts
Love did not practice at all for the Packers in the week leading up to the game against the Colts. However, on Friday of last week, he was upgraded from doubtful to questionable on their injury report. Many fans took this as a sign that he would play.
Obviously, he did not. The Packers ruled him out on Saturday, the day before the game. That does not mean, though, that Green Bay was just playing games with the Colts, as many fans have accused them of doing.
In a recent interview with former Packers wide receiver James Jones and NFL analyst Amber Theoharis, running back Josh Jacobs revealed that the players thought Love was going to play in Week Two:

“You know, what’s crazy is we thought Jordan was going to play last week,” Jacobs said in response to a question about the run-heavy offense Green Bay had against the Colts.
Again, Love did not practice at all last week, yet his teammates seem to have believed that he was going to be able to play anyway.
Will Jordan Love Play for the Green Bay Packers in Week 3?
The big question surrounding the team now is whether or not Love will be able to play in Week Three against the Titans. Unlike last week, the star quarterback has been able to practice every day. However, he has not been a full participant, being listed as limited each day.
Head coach Matt LaFleur said on Friday that Love is going to be listed as questionable on the injury report. He also hinted that Green Bay’s $220 million quarterback has not yet been cleared to play by their medical team.
When discussing when a final decision would be made, LaFleur said that they will give Love up to 90 minutes before game time.
So, while there is no definitive answer quite yet, there is a better chance of him playing than there was last week and, like Jacobs said, they all thought he was going to suit up against the Colts.
