The Green Bay Packers will be in the postseason for the second straight season after amounting to an 11-5 record through 17 weeks. While the offense led by quarterback Jordan Love has been dominant this year, the defense for Green Bay has drastically improved from last year. However, their best player on defense just announced that he will be getting knee surgery, which will end his season and could even keep him out of the playoffs.
Green Bay Packers Star Out For Year
Star corner Jaire Alexander, who had been dealing with a PCL tear that has kept him out since mid-November, will now likely miss the rest of the season and postseason, according to head coach Matt LaFleur. Alexander has been regarded as one of the best young defenders in the league since entering in 2018, and his absence could affect what the Packers do in the playoffs.

LaFleur addressed the media about the news, and he seemed bummed that his guy would likely not play again this season.
Ja, most likely, is going to Be done for the rest of the year. It’s unfortunate. It is what it is. I feel for him. He was trying to get his knee right, and it wasn’t getting right. It’s a tough deal for all of us.
Jaire Alexander’s Impact
The superstar has amounted to 287 total tackles, one-and-a-half sacks, and 12 interceptions in his career and has been one of the best coverage guys in the league. While he has been dominant for most of his career, Alexander has unfortunately been prone to injury, missing 19 games out of the team’s last 33.The star corner is also out of guaranteed money on his deal after this season, which could lead to Green Bay seeking a trade this offseason.
