The Green Bay Packers were able to defeat the Indianapolis Colts this past Sunday 16-10 without the services of starting quarterback Jordan Love. Malik Willis started in his place, completing 12 of 14 passes for 122 yards, a touchdown, no interceptions, and a 126.8 passer rating. Love was held out of the contest due to a sprained MCL that he suffered in Green Bay’s Week One loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Sao Paolo, Brazil.
When Love first suffered his injury, many feared that he had torn his ACL and would be lost for season. Thankfully, his ACL suffered no damage. However, initial estimates stated that Love would be out for 3-6 weeks, leaving many fans and analysts wondering how the Packers would survive the first quarter of the season without their starting quarterback.
Green Bay Packers Quarterback Jordan Love Practiced in Pads on Thursday
After not practicing at all last week, Love returned to practice for the Packers on Wednesday. He was a limited participant, but fans saw it as a good sign that he could play in Green Bay’s upcoming game against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday.
Those hopes got a boost on Thursday, too, as Packers media members shared that the star quarterback was practicing in pads:
Jordan Love is practicing for the second straight day. Packers are in pads.
Jayden Reed and Elgton Jenkins are practicing after missing yesterday.
Jordan Morgan and Carrington Valentine still out. Tucker Kraft (shoulder) in a red non-contact jersey.

As one can see, Love’s knee is in a brace, indicating that the injury is not fully healed. However, it certainly appears that he is close to returning.
If he does not play on Sunday against the Titans, there is an excellent chance that he could return against the Minnesota Vikings in Week Four.

The Packers have yet to determine if Love will play or if he will sit out again. Still, the fact that he is practicing at all after such a scary injury is reason enough for the fanbase to celebrate.
