The Green Bay Packers are 5-2 and preparing for their Week Eight matchup on the road against the Jacksonville Jaguars, who are 2-5, but have won two of their last three games. Earlier this offseason, both team’s quarterbacks, Jordan Love and Trevor Lawrence, made major headlines by signing contract extensions that pays each of them $55 million a year.
Lawrence, like the rest of his team, got off to a slow start this season as Jacksonville went 0-4 to start the year. In his first four games, he completed just 53.2% of his passes for 729 yards, four touchdowns, and one interception.
However, in his last three games, he has a 74.1% completion percentage, 798 passing yards, five touchdowns, and two interceptions. Lawrence has also had a passer rating of 119 or higher in two of his last three games.
In other words, he is starting to heat up. Fortunately for the Packers, they are likely getting one of their brightest young stars back on the field on Sunday.
Green Bay Packers Defensive Tackle Devonte Wyatt Expects to Play Against the Jacksonville Jaguars

One of the reasons Lawrence and the Jaguars have been playing better lately is because the offensive line has improved their pass protection. Through the first four games of the season, the Jaguars quarterback was sacked 12 times. In the last three games, he has been sacked three times, and all of those came in their loss to the Chicago Bears.
Obviously, the key to disrupting the offense is getting to Lawrence. Fortunately for the Packers, third-year defensive tackle Devonte Wyatt, who has missed their last three games, is primed to make his return to the field on Sunday.
According to Packers insider Wes Hodkiewicz, Wyatt recently said of his availability on Sunday, “I should be able to go.”
Wyatt left Green Bay’s Week Four loss to the Minnesota Vikings with an ankle injury that has kept him out ever since. In his first three games, though, Wyatt had been the monster the Packers expected him to be when they selected him in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft.
In those three games, Wyatt had three sacks, five quarterback hits, and five tackles for loss.
Getting him back against Lawrence, who obviously struggles when he is under pressure, will be a huge benefit for the Packers.
