Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers are coming off of a close win over the Chicago Bears. While they’re riding high off of the emotions of the blocked field goal that led them to the win, they have a tough matchup against the San Francisco 49ers coming up on Sunday afternoon.
Coming into the game with a 7-3 record, the Packers are ahead of the 5-5 49ers in the standings. However, this is a true test of just how good this Green Bay team truly can be.
Of course, as most fans know, San Francisco was the team that knocked the Packers out of the playoffs last year.
Prior to this week’s showdown, Love spoke out with a bold warning for the 49ers.

Love and the Packers badly want to win this week. They want to get revenge for their playoff loss last season.
With that being said, Love sent a bold warning to San Francisco.
“Just knowing that’s the team that knocked us out, we’re definitely hungry for this game.”
In order to win this game, the Green Bay Packers better come out looking hungry. They have had difficulty beating the 49ers and San Francisco is not a team to take lightly.
Brock Purdy and the 49ers are in need of a win for other reasons. They’re currently fighting for playoff positioning and to claw their way back up in the NFC West standings. San Francisco has more desperation coming into this week’s game.
Throughout the course of the season, the Packers have shown some weaknesses. They have not played at a Super Bowl level consistently. The flashes have been there, but they aren’t going to go far by performing at an elite level in flashes.
Both teams are going to have something extra to play for this weekend. If the Green Bay Packers can come through with a win, they would make a statement to the rest of the NFC that they’re for real. An 8-3 record would give them a very good chance to end up punching a ticket to the playoffs.
Expect to see this game end up being extremely entertaining. It will be interesting to see how the Packers look and whether or not they’re able to get their revenge.
