Entering the 2025 NFL season, the Green Bay Packers and quarterback Jordan Love are hoping to take the next step. Over the last two years, they have been a fringe contender, but have not had quite enough to win a championship.
Throughout the course of the offseason, the Packers made some key additions. They added offensive lineman Aaron Banks and cornerback Nate Hobbs as their top two free agency moves. However, they did move on from Jaire Alexander.
In the 2025 NFL Draft, Green Bay focused on the offensive side of the ball heavily. Brian Gutekunst brought in former Texas standout wide receiver Matthew Golden in the first round and TCU star wide receiver Savion Williams in the third.
While there are still some questions about the team, Love has spoken out with a very strong message about the upcoming campaign.
Green Bay Packers QB Jordan Love Sends Head-Turning Message About 2025 Season
With the clear goal of winning a Super Bowl, Love doubled down on that verbally.
During an interview with NFL Network, Love did not hold back. He boldly stated that the Packers are only focused on winning a championship this season. Love also opened up about the team investing heavily into the wide receiver position.

“I was definitely surprised, going into that first round, having the draft here in Green Bay, and hearing for the first time since 2000-and-whatever getting a receiver,” Love said. “So I was excited getting Matthew Golden, then Savion, those are two guys that I think are going to add some dynamic weapons to our passing game. We’ve got a lot of weapons. We’re trying to win the Super Bowl.”
Love is coming off of a tough 2024 season. He suffered a knee injury in Week 1 against the Philadelphia Eagles that caused him to miss two games. Unfortunately, he never looked the same after that injury.
This season will be a big year for Love. He needs to step up and prove that he can be a legitimate franchise quarterback and become the kind of quarterback who can lead the team to a Super Bowl.
All of that being said, the season is right around the corner. Green Bay fans won’t have to wait much longer to find out what he has in store in 2025.
