The 7-3 Green Bay Packers host the 5-5 San Francisco 49ers at Lambeau Field Sunday afternoon. For Sunday’s game, the Packers linebacker tandem must be on their A-game against 49ers’ star quarterback Brock Purdy, who has demonstrated his ability as an elite scrambler with his 37 scrambles, ranking second this season. Purdy also has career highs in rushing, attempts, and rushing touchdowns, with 267 yards on 51 carries and four touchdowns.
Unfortunately for the Packers, their star rookie’s availability for Sunday afternoon is in question.
The Green Bay Packers second-round pick popped up on Wednesday’s injury report
After staying healthy and not appearing in any of the Packers’ injury reports from Week 7 to 11, Edgerrin Cooper popped up on the injury report on Wednesday because he suffered a hamstring injury in practice, which caused him to be a limited participant. Cooper did not participate in Thursday’s practice as he worked out to the side with trainers.
His availability for Week 12 is not looking good
According to Rob Demovsky of ESPN NFL Nation, Edgerrin Cooper’s availability for Sunday’s game against the San Francisco 49ers is in doubt. The Packers will hold one more practice this week and will release the week’s final injury report on Friday. Once they finish practice, they will list him as questionable, doubtful, or out.
Matt LaFleur said Edgerrin Cooper sustained a hamstring injury in practice yesterday and his availability for Sunday appears to be very much in doubt.

The Green Bay Packers cannot afford to have their star rookie linebacker miss their game against the San Francisco 49ers. Quay Walker, Isaiah McDuffie, and Eric Wilson must step up if he doesn’t play
