Denver Broncos cornerback Patrick Surtain II dropped a scalding Super Bowl 60 prediction Tuesday at the Pro Bowl Games in San Francisco.
Two weeks before, the Broncos lost 10–7 to the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship Game, ending Denver’s season. Given that, it was understandable that he picked the Seattle Seahawks to win the NFL final.
But the margin he predicted between the two teams’ scores was unacceptable, given the Patriots’ record. So, Patriots fans started typing in the comments.
Patrick Surtain II smirks through Patriots Super Bowl doom prediction
Both Super Bowl participants pulled off improbable runs to get here. Seattle dominated the loaded NFC bracket, knocking off division rivals San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams in consecutive playoff games to reach their first championship since 2014.

Patriots matched Seattle’s 14-3 record but earned the AFC’s second seed behind Denver on tiebreakers. First-year head coach Mike Vrabel guided second-year quarterback Drake Maye through a remarkable turnaround from 4-13 in 2024 to the Super Bowl. The Patriots beat the Chargers, Texans, and top-seeded Broncos to get here.
That AFC title game remains a sore spot in Denver. The Broncos tied a franchise record with 14 regular-season wins and captured their first division crown since 2015. They escaped with a 33-30 victory over the Buffalo Bills in the Divisional Round before getting kicked out by Patriots defense in the conference final.

From that inner beef, Surtain picked the Seahawks over the Patriots. He predicted a 35–7 Seattle win, which crushes the Vegas betting line that had the Seahawks favored by only 4.5 points with a 45.5 total.
Fans roast Patrick Surtain II’s salty take
But the predicted 28-point blowout didn’t go over well with fans, who mostly wrote off Surtain’s take as unrealistic.

A third penned, “That boy mad he gotta play flag football 😂😂😂😂😂😂.”
The fourth shared, “He just salty from that loss that’s all lol.”
A fifth one penned, “Guy is so but hurt so funny.”
The Seahawks and Patriots will play on Sunday at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara. It is yet to be seen if the final score looks different from PS2’s prediction.
