New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart showed up at a local children’s hospital this week dressed as Superman. The 22-year-old rookie walked through the halls in the full costume just days before Halloween.

A video shared on Instagram showed Dart meeting a boy named Giuseppe, who immediately recognized the first-round pick. The two hugged in a moment that quickly went viral across social media. Dart flashed his familiar smile as the young patient wrapped his arms around the quarterback.

The visit came at the perfect time for trick-or-treating season. Dart has taken his role as a role model seriously despite being only five starts into his career. Kids at the hospital got to meet their football hero dressed as a comic book hero.

Giuseppe later thanked Dart for giving him “the best time” during the visit. Giants backup Russell Wilson also visits local children’s hospitals often. The team’s quarterbacks have made hospital visits a regular part of their community work.

NFL fans flooded social media with praise after clips from the hospital trip were shared online. The gesture showed Dart’s class despite his age of 22. Many called him an inspiration to young fans in New York.

The former Ole Miss star has become a fan favorite in the Big Apple. His energetic style on the field matches his energy off it. The hospital visit added another chapter to his growing reputation in the city.

Dart’s visit helped put professional sports in proper perspective, reminding everyone that kids like Giuseppe are the real heroes. The rookie spent time with a few other patients during his trip. He posed for photos and signed autographs while staying in character.

Dart’s Strong Start to NFL Career with New York Giants

Dart has been productive through five starts for the Giants. He’s completing 59.9% of his passes for 984 yards with eight touchdowns and three interceptions. The numbers show steady improvement each week.

The data would say Jaxson Dart has been far and away the best rookie QB. Dart leads all rookie QBs in..

    🔘 Yards per attempt (6.9)
🔘 Big time throw rate (6.5%)
    🔘 Adjusted completion rate (71.5%)
    🔘 Passer rating (90.8)
    🔘 Rushing grade (76.9)pic.twitter.com/mBNnUYaf0G

The 25th overall pick has also rushed for 195 yards and scored four times on 43 carries. His dual threat ability gives the Giants a new spark on offense, and defenses have had a hard time containing his runs.

Dart’s fearless style has made him the talk of New York. He plays with a confidence that feels beyond his rookie year. The Giants are shaping their offense to match his strengths.

The team will need Dart at his best this Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers. He’ll be without co-star Cam Skattebo, who suffered a dislocated ankle. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. ET at MetLife Stadium.

Dart’s hospital visit showed he understands the platform he has as an NFL quarterback. The Superman costume was a small gesture that made a big impact. For kids like Giuseppe, meeting Dart meant everything.
