After the New York Giants decided to fire Brian Daboll as head coach after the Chicago Bears loss, offensive coordinator Mike Kafka was promoted to interim head coach. After losing the first two games as interim head coach, he decided to fire Shane Bowen as defensive coordinator and promote Charlie Bullen to defensive coordinator.

A lot of the same problems showed up on both sides of the football on Monday night during the 33-15 loss for the Giants against the New England Patriots. New York has a 2-11 record this season and they are about to enter the bye week. They have four games remaining and there is a chance that Kafka will not be the head coach next year and also general manager Joe Schoen could be fired as well.
New York Giants Fans Are Out On Mike Kafka

Kafka is 0-3 as interim head coach, and it appears as if Giants fans are ready for the season to be over. New York is going to hire a new head coach next season and Kafka will be elsewhere. This is what New York fans had to say about him:
Giants need to fire Mike Kafka tonight. Joe Schoen is there to lock in the mediocrity.

Kafka did get other head coaching interviews this offseason. What he has done with the Giants now could be one of the reasons why an NFL team did not hire him in the first place. New York needs to hire a defensive minded head coach this offseason.
