The New York Giants did not have the start to their season they envisioned. A home opener 28-6 loss to the Sam Darnold led Minnesota Vikings was not what Daniel Jones or the rest of New York’s coaching staff expected.
Jones finished the day 22-42, 186 passing yards, zero touchdowns, and two interceptions. After the game, head coach Brian Daboll made a puzzling announcement.
Giants Make Horrible Decision On Quarterback Daniel Jones
According to Paul Schwartz of The New York Post:
Brian Daboll said today Daniel Jones remains the starting quarterback. No plan to sign another QB for competition and no plan to alter practice reps to give Drew Lock or Tommy DeVito more work.
In the offseason, the Giants signed free agent Drew Lock. At this point, he can’t be much worse than Daniel Jones for New York. Jones has already lost the support of New York fans:
The last time daniel jones threw a touchdown at metlife stadium was vs the colts in 2022 yet ppl are crying cause he got booed lmao

How many more chances do we have to give Jones? It’s time to end the experiment.
