The game of the year could be played Saturday night between Georgia and Alabama, and the Bulldogs could miss one of their best players.
Two weeks ago, Georgia went on the road and had a one-point win against Kentucky, leaning on their defense for the entire game, and the Bulldogs will have to do the same if they want to beat Alabama.
Georgia Could Be Down One Of Their Best Players
According to ESPN’s Pete Thamel, Georgia DL Mykel Williams’s game-time call vs. Alabama. He’s been limited in practice but will dress tonight and be evaluated in warm-ups.”
Thamel wrote, “Georgia defensive lineman Mykel Williams is a “true game-time decision” for the No. 2 Bulldogs at No. 4 Alabama on Saturday night, according to ESPN sources.
Williams has missed the previous two games with a Grade 2 ankle sprain, which he suffered against Clemson in the opener. He’ll be evaluated in pregame warmups and a decision will be made on his status.
Williams has been limited in practice this week, and it’s expected that if he does play it’ll be at less than 100 percent. He’s also unlikely to play a heavy snap count if he does play, as he’s working his way back.”

Williams is one of the Bulldogs’ best defenders, and if he has to miss the game, Georgia will be in trouble.
Alabama’s quarterback Jalen Milroe is a game changer, and Georgia will need Williams to help stop Milroe from making plays with his legs.
The Bulldogs offense has been an issue to start the season with their lack of playmakers, and now the defense could be down one of their top two defenders.
