The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets finished the regular season 7-5, with a 5-3 record in conference games and sixth overall in ACC Standings. Since the Yellow Jackets won over six games during the regular season, they have qualified for a bowl game for the second time in Brent Key’s short tenure as head coach. Georgia Tech will travel to Birmingham, Alabama, to play against the 6-6 Vanderbilt Commodores for the Birmingham Bowl on Friday, December 27 at 3:30 P.M. ET.
Unfortunately, Georgia Tech will not have an elite offensive weapon available against Vanderbilt.
The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets lose a receiver to the portal
According to Pete Nakos of On3, Georgia Tech’s elite wide receiver Eric Singleton Jr. will enter the transfer portal. Singleton will have two years left of eligibility remaining for college football. Since he’s a highly talented receiver and one of the top receivers in the portal, he should draw heavy interest from many Power Four schools during the transfer portal cycle.
