The incident started when Daniels’ mother ran a stop sign in Commerce. Officers pulled her over to address the traffic violation. While police were stopped with his mother, Daniels reportedly sped by at over 100 mph in a 25 mph zone.
Daniels then fled from officers who attempted to pursue him. His mother allegedly tried to block the police from chasing her son. The dangerous pursuit continued as Daniels’ vehicle reached interstate speeds on public roads.
