The Georgia Bulldogs lost to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in the Sugar Bowl in the college football playoffs. Georgia’s starting quarterback for that game was Gunner Stockton because of the injury to Carson Beck.

In the offseason, Beck transferred to the Miami Hurricanes. Stockton will be the starting quarterback for the Bulldogs for the 2025 college football season. He had some interesting words about the former Bulldogs quarterback last season.
Georgia Bulldogs Gunner Stockton Makes Comments About Carson Beck

Stockton talked to the media about if Beck was giving him any heads up about transferring to Miami this offseason. The Bulldogs starting quarterback for the 2025 season said,
“He was busy.”
It is not a surprise that this happened. Many thought that Beck was going to be the number one pick in the 2025 NFL Draft before last season started, but he did not perform well. Many believed that Beck transferred to Miami because of his girlfriend. With Beck out of the locker room, it will be interesting to see how Stockton leads the team in 2025.

Gunner Stockton is a 44-year-old father of 3. You can’t convince me otherwise

Gunner Stockton will be a garbage collector one day in comparison to Carson Beck

The Bulldogs are going to be better than the Hurricanes next season. However if Georgia were to face Miami in the playoffs, it would be interesting to see what the storylines of that matchup would be. It remains to be seen if Beck helps the Hurricanes next season and Stockton is going to be just fine with Georgia.
