The Georgia Bulldogs continue their dominance over their opponents Saturday with a 49-7 victory over South Carolina. The Gamecocks was shutout the entire game scoring their only touchdown in the final minute of the game. It seems as though the Bulldogs is sending a message to everyone who thought they would struggle any after lasts years championship run. The mesage is loud and clear, there is no drop off in sight for the defending champions. Honostly they look better and more dangerous than they did last year.

In all three games so far Stetson Bennett hasn’t had to play in the fourth quarter. The backups came in to close the game after Georgia had a very safe lead in the third quarter. The scariest part is they aren’t having to rely on the defense to win the games for them this year.  Offensively Georgia has been able to score on almost every drive. This offense could stand toe to toe with any team in the country in a shootout and that is scary when you add the fact the defense is shutting everyone down looking just as good as last season so far.

Everyone was sure with 15 defensive starters going pro the defense would fall off some. The bulldogs would struggle a little till they found their identity again. Well it seems this defense knows exactly who they are and there is step back or drop off in sight. In fact they was mad that the second team gave up one touchdown in the closing minutes of the game. Smith commented that everyone is a starter when they are on the field and there is no trash time.

It’s still early in the season, but so far there doesn’t look to be any SEC teams to compare to Georgia and Alabama. Leaving these two monsters to collide again in Atlanta for the SEC Championship. The only way I see this being foiled is if either team gets in their own way. It’ll be fun watching the journey through the conference schedule to see if the dominance can continue.
