George Kittle’s wife, Claire Kittle, was delighted for her husband as the tight end recently signed a four-year contract extension deal with the San Francisco 49ers. On Tuesday, Kittle signed the deal for $76.4 million which made him the highest-paid tight end in the history of the NFL. Claire Kittle shared a picture of her hubby with an excited caption, mirroring her feelings on his brand new deal.

Kittle has been playing for the San Francisco 49ers since 2017 after being selected as the 146th pick in the fifth round of the NFL draft. Before making it to the NFL, the 31-year-old tight end played college football for the Iowa Hawkeyes from 2012 to 2016. In his previous season for the 49ers, Kittle managed a total of 78 receptions for 1,106 yards, scoring eight touchdowns.

“4 more baby,” Claire Kittle captioned her Instagram post, celebrating George Kittle’s four more years with the San Francisco 49ers.

George Kittle and his wife met each other at the University of Iowa and got married in an elopement in 2019. Two years later, Kittle and his wife had a much larger ceremony with family and friends.

This is not the only contract extension that the San Francisco 49ers were considering this offseason. Apart from Kittle, quarterback Brock Purdy also demanded a better deal and a contract extension. However, unlike Kittle, the team has yet to get back to Purdy on this.

The San Francisco 49ers finished last in the NFC West in the 2024 NFL season and won only six games in the year. The 49ers faced the Arizona Cardinals in the last game of their season, losing with an embarrassing 47-24.

George Kittle’s Contract Extension Minimizes Travis Kelce’s Deal

George Kittle is currently the highest-paid tight end in the league, and his contract is currently being compared with those of other tight ends. Pat McAfee, sports analyst, recently compared Kittle’s new deal with Travis Kelce, admitting that the latter is being grossly ‘underpaid’.

Last year, Kelce signed a contract extension with the Kansas City Chiefs for a period of two years for $34.25 million. However, in the previous NFL season, Kelce did not do so well and managed 97 receptions for 823 yards, scoring only three touchdowns.

Travis Kelce blamed the media for his terrible performance in the 2024 NFL season, complaining that he was distracted by his relationship with pop singer Taylor Swift. Swift attended a number of his games, including the Super Bowl matchup against the Eagles, where Kelce’s Chiefs abysmally performed.
