Garrett Wilson, wide receiver for the New York Jets, has much respect for his head coach, Aaron Glenn, and sheds light on the new coaching practices that the former NFL cornerback has brought to the team. This is Glenn’s first head coaching stint in his entire career, but it looks like he has already done a 180-degree turnaround to the Jets culture on the field and in the locker room.

Wilson, in a recent interview with The New York Times, remarked that Aaron Glenn is not one for ignoring mistakes done during training. The 25-year-old wide-out also revealed that this is the exact kind of coaching that he expects and the one thing that he misses about college football.
“He’ll get on my a** if I put a ball on the ground or don’t run with details. That’s what I miss from college. Making sure you’re hyper-focused yourself is fine, but when you got someone to push you on that a little more, not let you slip up, it’s valuable.” Garrett Wilson said about head coach, Aaron Glenn, in his latest interview with The New York Times.
Garrett Wilson is currently getting ready for his fourth season with the Jets after the team bagged him in the first round of the draft. The 2022 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year is known as one of the team’s best offensive players and will be a major weapon as the New York Jets try to put out a better record than the previous year. Wilson and the Jets will soon be kicking off their 2025 NFL campaign with a matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 1.

Garrett Wilson Has More Expectations After Whopping Extension
Garrett Wilson received a massive contract extension from the New York Jets a couple of weeks back and the wide receiver is definitely expected to do a lot more in the upcoming NFL season. Wilson was given a four-year extension worth $90 million in guaranteed money and this was definitely music to the wide-out’s ears.

However, the massive contract that he just received also places extra expectations on Wilson’s shoulders for the next football season. The wide receiver managed an impressive 101 receptions in the 2024 NFL season but only seven touchdowns and is predicted to do more in the next campaign. Not only Wilson but the Jets as a whole will be hoping to churn out bigger numbers as the regular season starts off soon.
