The New York Giants were 2-6 entering the day against the Washington Commanders. Washington was 6-2 entering this game against the Giants. The Commanders won against the Giants once again on Sunday afternoon 27-22.

New York dropped to 2-7 and Washington improved to 7-2. The Commanders currently lead the NFC East. One of the stories might be Washington being much improved this season, but another story in this game is the NFL officiating.
ESPN’s Mike Greenberg Calls Out NFL Refs During the Washington Commanders and New York Giants Game

To no surprise, ESPN’s Mike Greenberg called out the NFL refs during the game on Sunday between the Commanders and the Giants. When Washington had a 21-7 lead in the third quarter over New York, Daniel Jones threw a 3-yard touchdown pass to Wan’Dale Robinson, but the Giants were flagged for a “pick play.”
Darius Slayton was flagged for the penalty, but the call was a bunch of weak sauce. The Giants had to settle for a field goal on the drive and the refs continue to make it about themselves week in and week out.
Fans React

I know it is not the case, but NFL officiating is so pathetic that the casual fan can reasonably conclude at times that games are fixed. Football version of scripted “professional” wrestling

Because @Espngreeny bad teams don’t get calls. Teams like KC Philadelphia Bills GB get calls. It’s the human factor of the NFL ref. It’s not right but it can’t be denied.

Refs are making the calls to align the plan for playoffs. They need certain teams to be playing big games on prime time.

Nfl is forcing the Giants into the #1 overall pick. I might be ok with it

I’ve said it a million times, no one watches the NFL to see the officials. Half of flags thrown should be left in their pockets.

There is no question that a lot of NFL fans think that these games are rigged. Refs make questionable calls every single week. It seems like they are for several teams and are against several teams. This is what sports gambling has done to officiating and there is no question it influences NFL games week in and week out.
