The Las Vegas Raiders did not have a great 2024 NFL season, but they have a key building block for the future. Tight end Brock Bowers had a tremendous rookie season and will be one of the top tight ends in the NFL for years to come.

He was the 13th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft and Bowers played for the Georgia Bulldogs at the college level. His production was great during his first NFL season despite some quarterback controversy with the Raiders. In 2025, Geno Smith will be the starting quarterback for Las Vegas and Bowers will very well be the number one option for him. At just 22 years old, he has a lot of room to grow.

Many different coaches, executives, and scouts across the NFL talked to ESPN.com’s Jeremy Fowler about the tight end position entering the 2025 season. They view the Raiders tight end as the number one tight end already in the NFL entering the 2025 season.

One NFL coordinator said about Bowers,

“He sort of just floats around out there. Game comes naturally to him.”

During the 2024 season with Las Vegas, he caught 112 passes for 1,194 yards receiving, and five touchdowns, along with averaging 10.7 yards per carry. He also was targeted 153 times. Bowers also rushed for 13 yards on five carries and zero touchdowns, along with averaging 2.6 yards per carry.

Bowers was third in the NFL in receptions in 2024 and he was tied for eighth in the NFL in receiving yards as well. Some people thought that he should have been the rookie of the year over Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels on the offensive side of the football. The 22-year-old could be an All-Pro at the position for the next decade and also be in several Pro Bowls. He will be another focal point in this team’s offense.
