On Friday, the multi-talented defensive lineman, Kelze Howard, committed to Oregon State for the position of defensive lineman. Howard, was the former defensive lineman for Spring Valley High School in Las Vegas. He has competed as a basketball player, wrestler, track athlete and, of course, football player. Howard was approached by several universities who wanted to the young athlete to participate in their programs. Those universities include Arizona, Nebraska and Utah. Surrounded by his family, Howard said he decided to commit to Oregon State because of, “the coaches and players”. Howard said that he appreciated that Oregon State, “had a plan for him and wanted him to pursue his dream” and that he believed that Oregon State had “the best opportunities to develop his career”.
Howard’s advice to other athletes is to “follow your dreams, don’t let anyone tell you, you can’t do anything”. Howard committed to Oregon State, surrounded by his family, live on CBS Sports HQ.
