Former New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman is one of many to react after Hamas released 20 Israeli hostages into Red Cross custody on Monday. Before the release, 48 hostages were believed to be held in Gaza.

“Today was a good day in the world. 🇮🇱🙏💙,” Edelman wrote on X sharing the clip of one hostage Matan Zangauker reuniting with his family.

Israel freed approximately 2,000 Palestinian hostages in exchange.
Meanwhile, the U.S. President Donald Trump co-chaired a Gaza peace summit in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, alongside the leaders of Egypt, Turkey and Qatar to facilitate the scenario.
The four nations signed an agreement pledging to resolve future disputes of Palestine and Israel through diplomacy and negotiation rather than violence. The joint statement also acknowledged the Middle East’s “deep historical and spiritual significance” to Muslims, Christians and Jews.
Julian Edelman Praises Patriots’ After Win Over Saints
Julian Edelman’s former team New England secured a phenomenal 25-19 win over the New Orleans Saints on Sunday.
Head coach Mike Vrabel made a crucial decision late in the game by successfully challenging a ruling that wide receiver Kayshon Boutte had stepped out of bounds after a key catch from quarterback Drake Maye.
The overturned call allowed the Patriots to stay in bounds and run out the clock in victory formation.
Edelman took to X to commend the team’s effort and Vrabel’s leadership.
“Really good win for the Pats. Easy to let down after an emotional win like that in Buffalo. Vrabel preaches mental toughness and consistency and it showed,” Edelman tweeted.

With the win, the Patriots improved to 4-2. They are now set their sights on next Sunday’s game against the Tennessee Titans, and Vrabel is ready for the challenge.
“There is going to be, probably, a lot to be said about this,” Vrabel said. “I think it would file under the category of, is it interesting or important? I would probably say this would be very interesting. But in the end, not very important to our preparation or what we need to continue to try to do to improve as a team.
“But having spent six years there or seven years there, I think it’ll be nice to see some people that I haven’t seen in a few years that helped us win, players and staff. But we’ve got a huge job here to do as we prepare for them.”
Tennessee is 1-5 this season.
