A Former Broncos head coach draws interest with Eagles
Two former Broncos head coaches might start the 2023 season with a fresh start as defensive coordinator. One might do it in Denver. Vic Fangio took the Miami Dolphins defensive coordinator position after taking the 2022 regular season off and helping assist the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl prep. Now Vance Joseph is a coaching candidate for two teams.
According to Ian Rapoport with the NFL Network, Joseph interviewed with the Eagles for the defensive coordinator job. That’s the same title he’s a candidate for with the Broncos.
Former #AZCardinals DC Vance Joseph interviewed with the #Eagles for most of the morning for their DC position, source said. Joseph is due to meet with the Eagles brass again tomorrow. He’s also a top candidates for the same position with the #Broncos.

Joseph was the Broncos’ coach from 2017-18. He was fired after going 11-21 in his two seasons in Denver. He was most recently the Arizona Cardinals’ defensive coordinator from 2019-22. The Eagles have interviewed several defensive coordinator candidates, including Jim Leonhard. It is believed Rex Ryan is the Broncos’ top choice to be their next defensive coordinator.
